MOUNTAIN VIEW/THE PRESERVE LADY NINERS
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Meeting opened by President, Pam Brunelle by welcoming the
new members, and introduced them to the membership. She read a thank you note received from one
of the ladies that participated in the Robson Challenge. She also reminded the members of the change
in sign up date for league play from Friday
Treasurer gave a brief financial report, noting that we have ample funds available.
BUDGET: It seems that
our carryover balances are significant from year to year. Pam asked for suggestions from anyone as how
to expend some of the discretionary funds.

MEMBERSHIP: Holly reported that we have 111 members.
OUTSIDE INVITATIONAL: Betty Kunnen gave an overview of the outside invitational tournaments that are in the works.
MPLN INVITATIONAL:
Karen Koch gave an overview of the plans. Tournament is to be
RINGER BOARD AND PAR BOARD: These were explained about tracking pars and best scores over the year. Cost is $2.00 today being the last day to get on board.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Collegiate Tournament – all is on track for March 23, tournament to be played with teams made up of 3 men or women and a college guest. Cost is $110.00 or $85.00 with an annual membership.
18 hole group is asking for volunteers to help them with their member guest tournament to be held April 17 and 18.
GUEST SPEAKER, MIKE JAHASKE:
Collegiate Tournament: Talked more about this tournament with the college girls. Will be an 18 hole, shamble format. The tournament is to be played with teams made up of 3 golfers either men or women, and one college player. Tournament includes round of golf, dinner and prizes. Cost is $110.00 or $85.00 with an annual membership.
Memorial Tree Program. Mike described the program. There are only certain types of trees that will be planted and plaques will also be available. The cost is $250.00 per tree. People may look at the notebook at The Preserve to see where the placement of the trees on each hole will be planted.
Pace of Play. He described our league play and how the course in managed to allow a buffer between the groups. The target for the 9’ers is 2 ½ hour. In order to accomplish this, the individual players have to manage their own play time. Need to be ready to play, carry extra clubs and balls on holes we have to walk.
Over seeding: Mike talked about the course management and the over seeding methods, and why things are done as they are.
Sign –up date:
He also talked about the changes in sign up days, and why this needed to
be done for course management. The
sign-up needs to be by Thursday
RULES: Dianne Stowell touched on some rules that were in question regarding tending the flag etc.
RALLY FOR THE CURE: Holly gave an overview on the Rally, and that all is on track. There are 72 players for the niners. Donations can still be made and turned into Gail Brown/Ellie Adelman/Holly Riviere.
